"If it was easy, it would have been done already." I hear this a lot and it never gets old. The easy way to do this would be to simply hook up with an overseas manufacturer, select a fabric that was already made, give them my designs, begin production, market like crazy and secure orders. Don't get me wrong, that takes quite a bit of work in it's own right, but I decided to take things a little further... well actually, a whole lot further - like to the point where a project like this has never been done before. I'm not going to bore you with the details, all that will be revealed shortly. I did want to take the time out and just give you an update on some changes we've had to make that have caused some delays.

The primary hold up in our launch has been the fabric and all I have to say is thank goodness we've done our diligence with the beta testing. What we realized is that our initial blend of fabric was just too light and really walked the line between activewear versus durable medical scrub. To be honest, it was taking up space in my head and I had a gut feeling it just wasn't going to work out. If there has been one chief take-away from working 13 years in Emergency Medicine, it's to always trust that internal feeling. If you're thinking & justifying, it's probably the wrong decision to make. So I made the call and started from scratch again.

Because we are actively creating proprietary blends of fabrics, changes like these are a process because it's at the very "thread" level when it comes to the type of stitch you want in your fabric and the adequate percentages to get the appropriate performance or effect of the fabric. I'm happy to say that our new version has the same amount of performance as our last blend in regards to the breathability and moisture wicking properties, but the key factor we're really excited about is the Silver embedded yarn within the fabric that has a cooling performance when it touches your skin - and it's one of the strongest antimicrobial agents in the textile industry so it's a WIN WIN in our book. Check out the image to see for yourself (the new fabric is the white swatch)

In case you're asking, "What are you going to do with the old SilverLight™ fabric?" Great question - we're making some sleek tshirts with it! We'll have some up for sale in a couple weeks.

On that note, I feel that i've rambled too long as it is but thanks for following along and giving us your time and interest as we attempt to do something great here.

The white fabric is our new SilverLight™ blend

 Sincerely,

Arthur W. Lucero - Founder
